Sterling Silver Black Onyx ring! Don’t miss your very last chance to own this beautiful ring.
The black, though opaque, has so much life, and the contrast between the black onyx and the white of the silver is really gorgeous.
As you look down on this gemstone you will see the beautiful spray of Shamrocks in the corner, some filigree, some solid, and of course that lucky 4 leaf clover. We stylized the silver that encases the gemstone to give it a gorgeous ribbon effect, and then, as you look to the side of the ring you’ll see that beautiful stylized detailing all the way around the shank.
The Shamrock was used by St Patrick to explain the Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit to the people of Ireland. St Patrick was a young man at the time, back in Ireland to spread his message of Christianity to the Pagan kings and folk of Ireland. He stood before the Pagan Kings and bent down to pluck a shamrock from the grass at his feet. He used the shamrock with its three leaves to show that the Holy Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three individual parts of the same entity.
Shamrock is said to bring luck to the wearer, and on St Patricks Day in Ireland we all wear a little sprig of Shamrock to honour our patron saint. There are many ancient blessings that we have, still used to this day, like
“May your blessings outnumber the Shamrocks that grow, and may good luck be with you, wherever you go”.
