Malachite, green vibrant and rich

Ireland is famed for its forty shades of green, and Malachite must surely showcase all forty of them. Rich and vibrant this luxurious stone graces our Celtic crosses and shamrock pendants and earrings and brings them something a little extra special.

Malachite has such a strong connection to Ireland’s rich folklore, it was used by the monks who created the Book of Kells for the green colour that can be seen to this day on those manuscripts.  The monks ground down malachite and used the ground down green pigment powder to create a paste which gave them the green colour which graces those ancient manuscripts.
